The liberal degenerates who run the state are determined to spend until they force tax increases. They have been playing this game for decades and they are always able to find a few Republicans to sell out. Sacramento is a city possessed when the Legislators arrive from LA and the Bay Area. The lobbyists buzz in like flies on cowpies. It’s a city full of worthless bureaucrats where nothing of value is ever produced.

On Tuesday, he called the Senate Democrats’ budget outline “hallucinatory”; on Wednesday, he said it was “irresponsible.”

I thought Ahnold was Austrian; he sounds thoroughly British with those really-out-there understatements!

Sen. Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) said during the committee meeting that the governor’s comments were overly negative.

What else would one expect from a representative of the most "hallucinatory," "irresponsible," and pervert city in the entire dysfunctional state?

They were moaning about a 41.8 billion deficit last December. When they finally passed the budget in February, it was doomed to fail. And they arrogantly bragged that they had no back-up plan because they would make sure the big-tax-props passed. And now they twiddle their thumbs, whine at each other, and devise new scare tactics. They are truly pathetic.

This is a claque of put up dolls with no experience and nothing at stake. Why? Because of term limits.

This is what democracy looks like. What did we expect? /s

I agree that term limits were oversold but I suspect California would be in this hole even without them.

I've been following the Ca. crisis for a few months now. Not so much the articles posted here, but the Comments sections on the links.

It is sadly funny to read the comments. The one that sticks out in my mind was one where the poster was complaining because all the “republicans” voted against the tax increases. They were all to blame for not saving the budget, evil for not wanting to pay more taxes to ‘save’ their state from shut-down.

California cannot sustain itself. The looters of the system have exceeded the producers. I have to agree with Arnold on this. He has been asking, demanding them to work to reduce spending...and nothing happens. Arnold will take the bums rap on this impending fiasco, but it is the right thing to do. Chaos will most likely erupt in the streets in August or September if they can't reach a reasonable budget agreement. They all know it.

Yes and no. I think it would have been slower to develop, and the disaster smaller. The Quentin Kopps of this world would have raised hell, they'd have raised taxes, taken the hit for it, and been replaced, possibly even by conservatives. Instead, the people we've got have only one job: delivering for their backers so that the take-out job is cushy.

Democrats or not, there were some good people who got flushed with this incontinent stupidity.

BZZZT!!! Wrongo! Every budget Arnold has offered has contained a massive increase in spending. He talks about how spending is the problem, but what he does is another matter. He has his crooked backers to please.
