MCALLEN - Valley officials are calling it their last chance to stop the border wall.

South Texas mayors, county judges, and state lawmakers are sending President Barack Obama a letter asking him to stop construction of the border fence until a full review of border security policy is done.

The Texas Border Coalition sent the later earlier this week.

The Department of Homeland Security has finished 630 out of the 670 miles of their border wall plan. Video

Then fill the gaps instead of protesting the fence.

The community of Granjeno fought to keep the wall from coming across their town and they won.

I've got one thing to say to those fools: "Try it You'll like it."

It works in Southwest Arizona, the flow of illegals is way down, crime, and drug running is down.

how can this possibly be? I thought illegals came here for jobs so how could they be committing crimes? ;) The nice thing about the gaps in the wall (largely constructed under Bush) is it demonstrates definitively the type and sheer numbers of criminals coming across the border, from petty thieves who think private American homes are their personal shopping centers, to the more devious types that run drugs and human traffic.

“The community of Granjeno fought to keep the wall from coming across their town and they won.”

Then build the wall on the north side and put them on the Mexico side!

We are a country of laws

Really? What part of the Constitution allows for the regulation of tobacco? Or even an FDA in the first place?

What part of the Constitution allows the president to seize General Motors and Chrysler from its real owners and distribute it to his political allies?

Where in the Constitution does it allow money from the treasury to be used to bail out private companies?

A country of laws? Sadly, no. That country no longer exists, and hasn't for quite some time.

Welcome, foreign invaders. Would any of you vandals or goths care to mow my lawn?

BS, their is no wall!!!there is not even very much triple layer fence. Not to mention the invisible fence that does not work and the trow foot levee along the private lake, and the numbers given include the fence built before that POS skeltor started his non fence.
