The race of the perpetrator should not be an issue. If you want to generalize, then generalize based on culture. Then you won’t be indicting many fine and innocent human beings.

Race shouldn’t be an issue, but should the situation been reversed, (white mob, black victim), you can bet the “white” angle would have been trumpeted.
The fact is this was posted on FR the day after it happened. The only thing is the state run media buried it shortly after. The only FReepers who missed it are the ones who don't get on every day. Your main point is taken though. There was an important event that took place in November that has led minorities(excuse the term)to believe, and rightly so it seems, that they can do just about anything they want without fear of going to jail.
I PRAISE Freep for informing us all...I only meant to suggest that even with such a wonderful website that really a small number of Americans get to see...it is easy to miss these stories if the MSM media refuses to highlight or even, talk about them.

If you start generalizing based on race all you do is dilute your message and open yourself for counter attack. Also, you end up disparaging a large number of very decent people to make a point against one or more specific scumbags.
Personally, I don't discriminate even a little bit based on race - but I discriminate ENORMOUSLY based on CULTURE. And, one has no trouble at all picking these animals that subscribe to this "gangsta" culture out of the crowd based on how they dress, body language, how they speak, etc.
