Lefterman is a symptom, not the disease. Actually, there are thousands of loquacious hacks with Dave's meager abilities that the network could put in his time slot. So, I agree; it's really not just Depraved Dave. SeeBS, like the other two broadcast giants have been rotting at their cores for too long. They are in need of swift and fiscally brutal attention. And Lefterman has provided a handy club with which to punish one of the chief offenders--SeeBS.

I’m not convinced the problem is the comedians. The audience is generally just as obnoxious. Where there is demand, there will be supply.
