NKorea warns of nuclear war amid rising tensions

North Korea's communist regime has warned of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula while vowing to step up its atomic bomb-making program in defiance of new U.N. sanctions.

The North's defiance presents a growing diplomatic headache for President Barack Obama as he prepares for talks Tuesday with his South Korean counterpart on the North's missile and nuclear programs.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak told security-related ministers during an unscheduled meeting Sunday to "resolutely and squarely" cope with the North's latest threat, his office said. Lee is to leave for the U.S. on Monday morning.

A commentary Sunday in the North's main state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper, carried by the official Korean Central News Agency, claimed the U.S. has 1,000 nuclear weapons in South Korea. Another commentary published Saturday in the state-run Tongil Sinbo weekly claimed the U.S. has been deploying a vast amount of nuclear weapons in South Korea and Japan.

One of these days, North Korea will announce that their special forces have been successful in placing 6 - 8 nukes in our largest cities. They will then announce any attack on their mainland will automatically end in their special forces detonating these surreptitiously planted nukes, thus destroying 6 of our largest cities. Our economy, and our civil government will no longer exist. Then they will begin to demand extortion money, so as not to detonate these weapons. I guess in the famous words of Bachman Turner Overdrive: “You ain’t seen nothing yet”.

They'll probably work with the Iranians to achieve this goal. The only upside is maybe - just maybe - after a hundred million Americans are killed - maybe we'll take these folks out ...

I think that Kim dung hill is brain dead from a stroke and that his son is in charge and we have a new generation to deal with. I think he will back down though.

Obama still wants to engage in negotiations with Iran. Even though the Mullahs control that corrupt state with an iron fist. Even after those staged 'elections' where ballots must be hand counted -- and could not have been counted when the 'results' were announced.

But does he know that North Korea may have the capability of taking out Seattle with a nuke? Iran, North Korea and Russia have exchanged advanced nuclear and missile technology recently. The NK threat could be real. China plays clever games all the time. I find it very hard to believe that NK is acting independently from China.

What does King Zero really know ______?

Congressman Predicts Seattle May Be Hit By Nuke

Seattle's liberal rag plays down the threat and says such an attack is impossible. They say North Korea does not have a missile capable of reaching the West Coast. Russia seems to think differently.

Perhaps Congressman Akin from Missouri has seen this video made in Russia predicting a nuke attack:

He Must Have Seen this Video Made in Russia

I was wondering if North Korea has any kind of mutual defense treaty with Iran and if so any attack on Iran by Israel could lead to devestating consequences. Since Israel can no longer rely on the US for help she has the God given right to take whatever measures to insure her existance no matter what.

I think Zero is basically a micromanager. He is more interested in the scheme to slap tax on folks using their company-issued cellphone for private calls.

I think they're just countries that “hate together”. A “mutual defense treaty" is waaaaay to sophisticated for these two groups...

Obama and his collection of anti-American & anti-Israeli (read anti-Likud) thugs should be pleased with themselves concerning the phony Iranian election results.
