Regardless of what George Will says, he is basically a dirty Democrat IMHO. Put George in with David Brooks, Peggy Noonan,Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson,Chris Buckley, Kathleen Parker and yes even Charles Krauthammer.

You know what all these people have in common? They despise Sarah Palin. They also all had a hand in getting Barry elected.

Will and all of the rest miss the big problem with this whole concept, any government run option will lead to a single payer plan for all Americans.

Insurance costs are based on the law of probabilities. They decrease the costs of coverage to the individual by distributing the risk to a pool of people. With a "free" to the individual system businesses will begin to move away from providing coverage at their expense...they would be stupid not to. The net result from this is to reduce the "risk-pool" available to the insurance companies and force them to raise premiums further.

This is a self-perpetuating process that will eventually force everyone who is not wealthy into a government run program. The process is inevitable with a government run alternative and I believe it is the intent behind this "option" being offered by Obama and the Dems.

The claim from Obama and his minions that, "Everyone who is happy with the plan they have will be able to keep that plan," is a flat out lie.

Big Guy is pretty excited that we'll be getting to go home to Chicago next week for a speech on his health care reform plan. We'll be speaking at the American Medical Association there.

It might seem like the wrong forum for Big Guy to talk about how under our health care plan we're essentially going to take money out of the pockets of doctors and make them work for free, but that's overlooking two facts. This is Big Guy. And we're doing it in Chicago. As Toes says: the doctors will like it ... or they can practice medicine at the bottom of Lake Michigan and see how well that billing system works for them.

The major problem, which the Dems know and exploit but keep silent about the real intentions, is that a very large percentage of people who vote for Dems are not very bright. They don't know how to operate in a system, free-market capitalism, that demands the client pay attention. Most Dems are incapable of paying attention.

As talk show host Mike McConnell has pointed out, the reason why libs don't listen to lib talk radio has nothing to do with there being other lib outlets in Big Media. It's basically because liberals are mostly apathetic slugs who don't care much about anything except what is government (the American tax-payer) going to do for them. Studies have proven that conservatives pay attention. Libs don't.
