Elder Bush: Pelosi "paying a price" for CIA crack
Former CIA director and ex-Pres. George H. W. Bush is sticking up for his alma mater agency against the predations of Nancy Pelosi.
In his 85th birthday interview with the conservative Washington Times, Bush takes a gentlemanly shot at the speaker for suggesting she was misled by the agency during a 2002 briefing on interrogations -- and not surprisingly, he didn't appreciate her crack that the CIA misleads Congress all the time.
"I think she made most unfortunate comments, and I think she's paying a price for it," Mr. Bush told The Times. "I think people see her as having been told - briefed on some things and then kind of acting like it didn't happen. So I'm a little disappointed in her."
When asked directly whether the CIA lies "all the time," Mr. Bush said it does not.
Wow, a Bush stands up to a Democrat’s lies! Isn’t that one of the signs of the Apocalypse?
How much does CIA crack cost? Is it better quality than ghetto crack?
With Panetta now at the helm, that's a guarantee now!

I could never be a politician! What a bland statement. My blood boils every time see Pelosi or Reid.

Bush the Elder’s lukewarm nature was the reason that the guy was labeled a “wimp” during his tenure as President. That was an unfair characterization, IMO, which should never apply to anyone who has strapped a Grumman TBM torpedo plane to his backside. Nevertheless, it’s easy to see how people got that impression.

I don’t think it is a lack of passion, but an understanding of decorum. George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush are a long way from my favorite presidents, but they both show a whole lot of class, decorum and grace under pressure. The last Democrat that did was none other than HST. And boy does that go back a long time.
There goes one of those tough-talking Bushes again. Look, I'm all for decorum and all that, but why can't high-profile Republicans get serious about slamming dems? If it were the other way around someone like Slick Willie would be foaming at the mouth. At least say it like it is! She's a traitor to America and ALL IT'S INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES!
Must be. The CIA brings the drugs into minority neighborhoods for distribution and the dealers down the line step on it. It is all part of the great conservative plot.

Remember, she still uses the big Air Force jet at taxpayer expense and gets to dole out many, many goodies to all the liberals who crave her attention.
