Obama to extend benefits to gay federal workers

WASHINGTON President Barack Obama plans to extend health care and other benefits to the gay and lesbian partners of federal employees.
White House officials say Obama plans to announce decision on Wednesday in the Oval Office. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the president had not yet made the announcement.
The move would give partners of federal employees access to health care and financial benefits such as relocation fees for moves. Officials say Obama would detail more details of the decision on Wednesday.

The federal government doesn’t have a domestic partnership benefit statute so how does Obama plan to enact extending what doesn’t exist to lesbian and gays?

Why? All the Senators and Congress’people’ already get free health care. They don’t need more coverage from their ‘significant others’.
Watch for people to pretend that they are gay so that they can get a free ride.
Do you see where this leads?
This will necessitate some type of official registration of domestic partnerships, whether hetero or homo.
At first, it will only be a "registration", but sooner or later a license--and if it walks like a duck....
So we are expanding benefits while the rest of the country is cutting them. We are expanding them to a high risk high cost group.
And then do we get the “Mark”?
They don’t even have to pretend to be gay. They just need to claim they are in a committed relationship. Same sex means just that: same sex—not gay, necessarily. As a practical matter, the government can’t require anything more.
