THEY could be the lesbian power couple of all time: Randi Weingarten, the new president of the 1.4 million-member American Federation of Teachers, is dating Hilary Rosen, former head of the Recording Industry Association of America, who appears on CNN and is Washington, DC, editor-at-large for the Huffington Post.

If ever two people deserved to look at each other over the breakfast table as they pour vinegar over their shredded wheat it's these two.

Rosen had the misfortune to lead the RIAA after everyone was already wise to their tactics but that didn't stop her from achieving new lows in obstinance and arrogance. She didn't know a recording desk from a rolltop desk but that didn't stop her from attempting to smash ants with a sledgehammer as she targeted internet radio (among other possible outlets for her clients' work).

Weingarten isn't necessarily a national figure but in and around NYC her photo appears next to 'militant' in the dictionary. Everyone who buys into the teacher-as-kindly-if-underpaid-mentor never met this rattlesnake. She is the unapologetic face of the hard-line teachers' unions and if nothing else serves as a symbol of all that is wrong with the so-called educational system and its incestuous relationship with the Democrats.

Oh by the way here's our Randi with another public figure who may or may not dream of attending the Dinah Shore one day. Nice war paint, girls. Is it Madame Tussaud's?

No Dinah Shore was not a lesbian, but the week of her LPGA golf tournament in Palm Springs, now called the Nabisco Championship and a major for the LPGA, is the de facto national lesbian convention each year.
