The Rise of the Judges in 2010
The Voice magazine ^ | June 17, 2009 | Brian Burke

Our greatest liberties come from the constitution. Having power hungry ideological judges misinterpret it, could only bring us back into the bondage of tyranny and oligarchy.

The Founders of this great land were wise enough to put three branches of US Government in place, so one could keep the other in check, preventing unconstitutional governance. We are gradually losing this as a nation. Presidents, politicians and special interest groups lobby for Judicial nominees who would rule according to their ideology, while rejecting those who simply follow the guidance of the constitution of the United States.

Yet something is brewing in the nation. While some grieve in their spirits for America, others are moved with passion to make a difference. To me -- the reason I am noting this -- it is prophetic to see the possibility of two former judges run for office in 2010.

God always has a man or woman prepared to lead. God always has a remnant people. And that's all it takes, my friend, a remnant.

Amen to that. Amen.

The Federal judiciary was intended to be part of a system of checks and balances between the three branches of government.

The courts are supposed to stop the actions of a single party which dominates both the legislative and executive branches if it seizes an opportunistic moment to undermine the Constitution.

Sadly, since the mid-1930s the Federal judiciary has served instead as shock troops in the assault on the Constitution.

Our greatest liberties come from the constitution.

Our liberties pre-existed the Constitution. They do not come from the Constitution. The Constitution was put in place to fence off government's tendency to encroach on liberties already possessed by the people as natural rights.

When Judges no longer recognize the Rule of Law, the Rule of Law is dead.

His site has continually excellent pieces to the point and out of the mainstream. Definitely a financial, cultural, governmental and political poet.

Sotomayor is an activist judge not a constitutionalist judge and will legislate from the bench. She also isn’t qualified like obozo & host of other idiots running this country.
