Pompous ass power mongers with zero tolerance mentalities who live to puff up with power. And that describes about 80 percent of our “educational establishment”.
dead on ‘tank. I can see some punishment if something very egregious happened, maybe a complete disruption of the event in some way, obscenity of some kind etc, etc. but blowing a damn kiss? anybody who objects to such a harmless display IS a ‘pompus ass power monger’ as you say. no question about it in my mind. the kids and their parents should be allowed a bit of celebration at the ceremony, heck, it IS a celebration. I have been to quite a few and they have all have had small ‘celebrations’ within that large celebration at some point and not one bit of protest from administrators OR parents have ever been voiced either at the time or later on. mom deserves a kiss blown or otherwise for what she did for her child to see that he made it thru 12 years of the liberal indoctrination centers that are our public schools now. congrats to mom/dad and child as far as I’m concerned. zero tolerance idiots are complete control and power freaks and are helping destroy our schools imho. (zero tolerance as like the 2 3rd. graders near here that were suspended for 3 days for pointing fingers at each other and yelling ‘bang’ at recess. the boys did know the rules prior yes, no running around pointing fingers and yelling bang but damn little kids are gonna get wound up a bit sometimes and a ‘rule’ as asinine as that one is gonna be forgotten once in a while. just kids darn it. how about a verbal warning followed by a written the second time? zero tolerance for harmless actions is a freakin’ joke.
