Media Matters Panel: Guns Don't Kill People, Fox News Kills People
Yesterday, Media Matters hosted a panel at the National Press Club where five liberal activists discussed the use of “extremist” language by the conservative media and its allegedly violent effects. “We all need to set a tone for civil national discourse,” declared Nancy M. Zirkin of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights. It was a noble sentiment, though a bit ironic at an event where liberals tarred conservatives as bigots who inspire other bigots to commit acts of violence.
“FOX News is really mainstreaming this sort of vigilante almost malicious rhetoric,” Media Matters senior fellow Eric Boehlert said. He added that Lou Dobbs and pretty much everyone at FOX News were a “toxic group of people.”
“Hateful words have hateful consequences and blood will be on their hands if they don’t take actions to repudiate [them],” said Clarissa Martinez De Castro of the National Council of La Raza. The Southern Poverty Law Center’s Heidi Beirich agreed. “It amazes me that these people can go on TV and say whatever they want,” Beirich said. No word yet on whether Beirich has heard of the First Amendment.

It is a dreary, rainy day in Massachusetts and I’ve just had the laugh of the month. Liberals, users of the MOST insulting, acerbic, poisoness, hate filled and hateful language on the face of any planet, is unhappy because we of the “far,far right” speak OUR minds.
The sad truth is the ONLY people who listened LIVE to that drivel were those who applauded instantly.
Now the sun is out and the bird are chirping.

Sadly, if any group has shown meekness in this war, it is conservatives. Thru our inaction, the left now controls the schools, media, the fed/state bureaucracy, the legal system, retirement, & soon health care.
Religion & morality have been vilified. Cheating, lying & stealing are rewarded, as is perversion & exhibitionism. Parenting is an unknown art, frowned upon by a ruling class that would rather “indoctrinate” your kids themselves.
And we have relied on & blamed the Republican Party, a party only SLIGHTLY less corrupt & socialist/fascist than the Democrats.
Remember the Patriot Act? Who would have guessed (duh?) all ya had to do was redefine WHO was a terrorist, & viola, the gov’t can spy on, search, & arrest anybody they want. Thanks Karl, Dick, & George! Ignorant dupes or willing fascists? You make the call!
Until we have millions of Limbaughs, Coulters, & Becks in the streets of DC & our state capitols, screaming “Pack your bags & get outa town, and we will stay here until you do”, we will continue our decline until we resemble something less than Zimbabwe.
They never point out specifics to make their case. Why? Because they have no case. If any media doesn’t salivate 24/7 over the Fraud In Chief, they are haters.
I could have sworn we were bombarded with the worst hate and vitriol for the past 8 years coming out of these people.
All of them, little tyrants.
