Ted Kennedy Bill Could Send Your Gun Info Into A Massive Federal Database
Gun Owners of America ^ | 6/16/2009 | unknown

At long last, Teddy Kennedy has partially revealed the health care system he wants to foist on the whole country -- and it isn't pretty.

It won't be pretty for your pocket book... OR FOR YOUR GUN RIGHTS!

But first, let us explain what TeddyCare is all about.

At the center of the plan is what's called a "universal mandate." What this means is that you -- and virtually everyone in the country -- will have to buy as much health insurance as the government demands, and that insurance plan will actually have to be approved by the government.

If you work for a small business, the business will buy the insurance on your behalf. But you may be saddled with an enormous part of the cost. And, if the employer's contribution is too large, you will be fired.

If you fail to buy TeddyCare, as the government orders you to do, the IRS will fine you, garnish your wages, put a lien on your house, and, ultimately, put you in prison.

How much will you have to spend on your TeddyCare insurance? Teddy's not saying.

The portion of your paycheck that will have to be forked over to Teddy's latest social experiment will be revealed ONLY AFTER THE MASSIVE HEALTH CARE BILL IS SIGNED INTO LAW.

Pediatricians already ask children if there are guns in the home.

I’ve never ever heard one person tell me that their kids were asked that and mine never were, that’s for sure. Why would they want to know that? It’s not of their damn business.

I'm not a gun owner but I've always supported every Americans constitutional Second Amendment rights. I welcome this timely warning.

The Kennedy/Obama health care legislation is clearly intended to give government bureaucrats formerly unimagined power over American lives. It will do what the political left has always dreamed of: controlling the American people by regulating every important facet of our lives, with the full weight of government power to fine, imprison and easily bankrupt any American who dares to oppose their rulers (government). With the sweeping powers embedded in this bill the Democrats are attempting to pass by stealth (to no avail) government bureaucrats would be able to impose every kind of restriction on our lives under the guise of 'health'.

This Obama/Kennedy 'health care' legislation (the terminally corrupt Chris Dodd is carrying the ball for the ailing Ted Kennedy) puts our freedoms at great risk. Not only will we be paying more and getting less 'health care', but our everyday lives will be negatively affected by the 'health police' determining what we can eat, drink, drive - and do. All for our own good, of course, and the good of the millions of other folks on the mandatory Democrat national health care plan.

No, thanks. This Marxist monstrosity must be defeated. Make noise. Wake up the GOP seat-warmers in congress! Do it now!

A good pediatrician will ask the parents, not the kids, about safety features in the home, so that they can advise the parents. Too many parents don’t have a clue. Doesn’t mean the doc is recording the information and sending it into the government or anything sinister.

I think Chappaquatic Ted wrote the first amnesty bill (1986?) and was also the author of the HMO legislation, which was a laughable bomb. So ... what could be more logical than, discovering that he has a brain tumor, enlisting him to write a comprehensive mandatory universal health-care bill? Arlen Specter also had some issues with his brain. Maybe they should collaborate and call it the Kennedy/Specter final solution.

When we changed primary care physicians, the info form for the new medical ass’n asked that very question. I’d not seen it before. It remained blank.

The only kids that would answer with anything but "FO&D" are little statist village-needing kids anyway, so I really don't see the problem.

If any democrat wants my gun all they have to do is come to my door personally and ask. They don’t even have to ask nicely. In fact a bit of rudeness and arrogance would make it even more fun.

"I’ve never ever heard one person tell me that their kids were asked that and mine never were, that’s for sure"

I was there with one of my grandchildren (2 yrs old at the time) and the pediatrician's nurse/clerk asked the question of me.

In addition, in 2000, I was with my daughter when she first came up to the room after child birth and in the long questionnaire the nurse wanted info to fill out was that question. She also asked whether anyone in the extended family kept a gun in the house and whether anyone in the extended family ever used drugs.

Isn't that POS dead *yet*?

Who wired up his brain tumor to his neuro-muscular system so that he can still speak and sign stupid legislation?

Let the tumor die already, and take the Champion Swimmer with it!
