Robert A. George.

Voted for Obama. Democrats like to keep him around them for the color commentary.

Anybody know if that’s true, because if so, we’re in trouble with trying to stop this

Reconciliation was being talked about quite a bit a few weeks ago.

Since then, Max Baucus (Dem Chair who's in charge of health care and leans somewhat conservative at times) has said he prefers to get Repub support for a health care bill.

Haven't heard much about reconciliation since then, though I suppose they could still do it.

These poll numbers are bogus.

The First Amendment allows them to lie using polls, with impunity.

It is a pretty standard psyops/Alinski thing the rats really ratcheted up during Clinton.

It works, largely because people repeat them uncritically.

But I know they are made up of whole cloth.

CBS poll indeed.

a national health-care insurance program -- is likely to fail yet again?

THANK GOD!!

how could the attempt fall apart in accelerated fashion -- much faster than the much-maligned, abortive Clinton effort of 1993 and '94?

Because Zero is even less competent than Bubba?

Well, cost is certainly one problem:

Yeah, doesn't it just SUCK to have to consider real world economics when you're trying to build a sand castle in the air utopia?

When confronted with a choice between healthcare for the poor and the near-poor on the one hand, and the continued overstuffing of the overclass on the other hand, Obama made a decisive choice: He chose the overclass. He put rich people first.

Karl Marx would be proud of this author's rhetoric. IOW, 0bama chose to let the poor schmucks who would suffer the most under this unworkable utopian scheme keep their money - the middle class.
