Iran’s cities now awash with “terrorists” [Ahmadinejad taking a page from Janet Napolitano]
The Coming Anarchy ^ | June 21, 2009 | Munro Ferguson

Some quick updates on the goings on in Iran:

As the title of this post infers, the Iranian government is now referring to those protesting as “terrorists” and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in reaction to comments made by both US and UK leadership, has insisted the two countries stop meddling in his affairs:

"Definitely by hasty remarks you will not be placed in the circle of friendship with the Iranian nation. Therefore I advise you to correct your interfering stances."

The popular uprising now has a new face (and martyr) and her name is Neda. Yesterday a graphic video depicting a young woman dying on the street after being shot by basiji soldier went global in a hurry. The video (one of the more disturbing things I’ve seen, so consider yourself warned) can be found here and has sparked outrage the world over.

Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri has called for three days of mourning for slain protesters and called the governments actions “religiously prohibited.”

Five family members of former president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani have been arrested for “provoking riots.”

Internet collective Anonymous, perhaps best known for it’s campaign against Scientology, has set up a forum to help Iranians stay a step ahead of the government online.

Michigan congressman Pete Hoekstra (apparantly about as bright as a broken hammer) suffered a large and sarcastic backlash after tweeting:

"Iranian twitter activity similar to what we did in House last year when Republicans were shut down in the House."

Don't worry, Mr. Ferguson, Mr. Obama will catch up to President Ahmadinejad. Just be patient.

“you will not be placed in the circle of friendshap”

Hear that 0? This means you’re going to have to make a statement that all good little Iranians now go home and bow to the mullahs if you want your blood brother, imanutjob, to like you.

“you will not be placed in the circle of friendshap”

What decent person would want to be friends with this demented thug?

"What decent person would want to be friends with this demented thug?"

Most likely, only someone who happens to have "Hussein" as part of his name. Oh wait! You said decent.

Multiple reports of thousands of Hamas and Hizbollah thugs brought in to quell protests. The Basij gunman who killed Neda was almost certainly from Hamas or Hizbollah.

One protester in Tehran said, "my brother had his ribs beaten in by those Palestinian animals. Taking our people's money is not enough - they are thirsty for our blood too."

When asked if these militia fighters could have been mistaken for Lebanese Shiites, sent by Hezbollah, he rejected the idea. "Ask anyone, they will tell you the same thing. They [Palestinian extremists] are out beating Iranians in the streets... The more we gave this arrogant race, the more they want... We will not let them push us around in our own country."
Lovely people Jimmy Carter's BFFs.

Author and foreign policy expert Michael Ledeen has published a letter reportedly from the office of Mir Hossein Mousavi, in which the Iranian opposition leader criticizes President Barack Obama for saying Mousavi and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad are “two of a kind.”

The letter, addressed to Obama, takes the president to task for the remark, calling it “a grave and deep insult, not just to Mr. Mousavi but especially against the judgment of the Iranian people, against our moral conviction and intelligence, especially those of the young generation that comprises a population of 31 million.

Which is the Israli likeable? Are they two peas in a pod? Could B. HUSSEIN Obama be correct? unlikely

Hmmmm-calling protestors terrorists—You mean like the report calling any protestors here in the US terrorists? Yes, two peas in a pod by any other name—namely self absorbed dictators.

The smart thing is to let this fight out. More and more Iranis will realise that they are notArabs and they don’t want to follow anArab religion.
