The GOP will screw it up if they think they can run any given RINO and hope we vote out of fear.

There’s an old sports saying that bad teams find a way to lose. Sadly that’s been the GOP’s operating procedure of late.

I think there will be a sharp clear choice for voters in 2012. We’ll know by then if Porkulus has been effective or a waste. We’ll know if the car bailout has worked. We’ll know if trillion dollar deficits have continued with no end in sight. If health care “reform” passes, we’ll know how that is working out. We may well see more confrontations with North Korea and Iran before the 2012 elections. We could see more terrorist activity by the next election. If these and other areas turn out badly for Obama, the GOP will be in good position to capitalize on that.

The 2012 elections could turn out like 1980, in that, we could have an unpopular Democrat incumbent, who seems impotent to resolve important foreign and domestic crises.

Part of the allure of voting for Obama was wanting to see a black President.

Clinton was the first black President. Obambi is the first RED President.

Much depends on who the GOP nominates.

The GOP should screw it up because we have a RINO steering the ship: Michael Steele.

The leftists didn't get the amount of power they now hold by letting us conservatives organize ourselves and promote our values and candidates unimpeded.

The number one task of leftists from now until 2012 will be to destroy any potential conservative candidates and seek a RINO nominee for the GOP. It is even more important to them that they do this rather than promote Obama.

...unless the GOP screws it up...

Thats a mighty big if. The phrase snatching defeat from the jaws of victory comes to mind.

10. Sarah Palin will be running for president, and she will inspire tens of millions with her themes of small, limited government, low taxes, drilling for oil at home, etc. Come Election Day 2012, she will kick Obama’s boney ass all the way back to Chicago.....or maybe even Kenya!

Convincing the GOP that the best way to counter the leftists' "magic negro" was with a "magic negro" of our own was a huge victory for the left.

Right on the money. That’s why The State Run Media is doing the dirty work against Sarah Palin.

The eventual GOP candidate needs to stay on target with fiscal conservatism, defense, American optimism (free markets, private industry, American dream) and stay on the attack against Obama.
They come out too strong preaching social issues then they will lose.

Never underestimate the Stupid Party or the influence of State Media (Rush’s new term) over the aforementioned Stupid Party.

Remember, it was the State Media that manipulated us into their Designated Loser, John McCain.

Hopefully the GOP will pick a REAL conservative...then we have a real shot

Make the campaign OLD SCHOOL...use Reagan's mantra...

Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

Even in union strongholds like Michigan...that message might just resonate enough away from the Anointed None to really get this country going in the right direction...

This, of course, is assuming we still have a democratic form of elections, or even still a country, come 2012.

The real litmus test is next year...if GOP can make gains in 2010, then it'll be time to surf a wave of real change....
