Walpin-gate opens wider: FBI investigation embarrasses the White House
The Washington Times ^ | June 22, 2009 | Editorial

President Obama's excuses for firing AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin look weaker every day. The FBI has opened an investigation into a Sacramento program formerly run by a close ally of President Obama's, giving credence to the IG's work.

The original conviction still stands though.

As it should. That cowardly game playing by the Bush Administration made me sick. All somebody needed to do was stand up and say, "Joe Wilson is a fraud. His wife, Valerie Plame, who works for the CIA, apparently colluded with other Democrat fixers at CIA and State to send her husband to Nigeria for cocktails with fellow low-level diplomats so he could come back and report that he 'found no evidence', etc. We have asked the FBI to investigate these shenanigans and report back if they find that any laws were violated."

But no... they all had to play coy.

Texas Eagle, you saying you have any confidence in the F.B.I.?
The agency has become a political tool. And I expect a white wash covering up any misdeeds this “magic negro” or his minions do.

In the end he will answer to the People, just like everybody else. It’s slowly starting to happen.

"This is all just another right-wing attempt to bash democrats and draw the focus away from real issues we are faced with. President Obama is busy focusing on the real issues we face and does not have time to respond to these fabricated stories."

I use this as a quotation because I do not want to be accused of perjury. This is the canned liberal response to any scandal that is exposed. ie: "look over here... (waving arms in the air) OVER HERE"

Obama and team have used this method since the onset of the Rev Wright problem and it seems to work since the media jump onboard and do his bidding.

The public is now so used to the stream of previously unbelievable policy coming from the White House, they are no longer even giving this stuff a second glance.

I hope, HOPE one thing comes of this. When these jokers are unseated, the Republican Party will drop the whole bipartisan line and remember what it got them... They owned the show for many years and did practically nothing. They assisted in passing BS liberal legislation and propped up moderates in an effort to draw in the left crowd. It led to bad policy, liberal style spending habits and eventually, loss of power as the liberals accused them of doing the very thing they wanted to do themselves... and used it all as an instrument to defeat conservatism in the last election.

Yeah, this will be one of those situations like in Godfather II, when the “button man” testifying before Congress said there were many buffers between him and the big boss. Capo Regime Holder will pass it down through his lieutenant in charge of the FBI down to the crew leader in Sacramento: Case closed and filed.

This is good news that this has not dropped off the face of the earth but Eric Holder will impede any real investigation and this will be forgotten about just like Pelosi’s ridiculous CIA allegations.

Been trying to think of what the corollary to this might be in the first 6-8 months of the Clinton Administration;
there seem to be SO MANY corollaries on so many levels I am half-expecting a Vince Foster story to show up soon.
Any ideas?

That slimy p.o.s. can literally do and get away with anything he wants.

May he continue to think so. We'll be through with him that much sooner.

Obama has to be CAPABLE of being embarassed for embarassment to occur. He isn’t. He is a god in his own mind.

This too shall pass, as the media gives him another freebee.

He is not, you see, Bush. Bush firing an IG would be covered on the NY Slimes for weeks on end.

Obama is like his Iranian comrade Arachmaloonyjad and all of the other commie comrades, he is a potpourri mixture of nepotism with extreme narcisssism. He can do no wrong.
