I did ask the question about when they were planted but never decided if there was anything unusual going on.

If they were planted here in Michigan on that date I would say hell yes there’s something up but I don’t know enough about the DC climate to say for sure.

Here is SE Ohio we pretty much have the same climate that DC does and I can say that there is no way without a grrenhouse that they have tomatoes now. Ours are now covered with flowers but the fruit is still weeks away.

My daughter lives in a DC suburb, She planted too early, early March, so she spent many evenings covering her plants to protect them from frost. So far she has had peas and her tomatoes are starting to get red. She lost her squash to frost and rain. So I don’t know my daughter is in the DC area, has some garden experience, but she has not had the spectacular results Mrs. O has had.

The whole thing was a photo-op anyway to get people to think that the Obama’s were a nice ordinary family. It was a stupid stunt—imagine Jackie Kennedy doing something like this? No!
