Jeff, I’ve been reading about the deep inspection tool the Iranian government is using on Twitter and Facebook postings. Siemens and Nokia have provided it to them so they can basically spy on every posting before it is submitted to the sites.

It’s so troubling how international business interests support totalitarianism.

Yeah, like Yahoo in China handing over info about dissidents to the government.

Hardware networking companies providing embedded spyware in their product sales to China.

Well, heck, IBM Hollerith tabulating machines sold to Germany for their census proved invaluable to the Nazis later.

Sometimes profits can be the very antithesis of liberty.
