It was the sniper shot heard round the world. One moment, a young woman is standing on the sidewalk, watching the Iranian people stand up to the state. A second later, she crumbles to the sidewalk, blood pumping uselessly out of the gunshot wound in her chest. A faceless police sniper has killed Neda Agha Soltan, but also made her immortal. Her murder was videotaped and sent worldwide. Her death is now the defining image of the 2009 Iranian revolution.

Remember Lon Horiuchi? Another sniper who got his rocks off shooting women.
The thug that killed her had the blessing of the Supreme cleric. It wouldn’t take much to unseat the motorcycle riding thugs. Just pour bacon grease in the street and watch the fun begin. I would almost wager that the crowd would open a can of “Whoop Ass” on them.
Private media are running rings around broadcast outlets funded by America and Israel to challenge Iran. The uprising in Iran has become an international sensation through the global reach of digital information technology. Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and e-mail have allowed the protesters to communicate directly to the world, bypassing feckless regime attempts to suppress journalists. The rawness of the videos and the frankness of the tweets allow observers to experience the events viscerally. The impact is powerful.
As for those who are saying it is wrong to “meddle” in Iran's internal affairs, would you please note that Iranians are holding signs in English. Many of the blog posts, tweets and YouTube narrations are also in English. If they are not crying out directly for American aid, why are they using English?
Yes, they are crying out to the U.S. for help.
Obama does NOTHING.
He doesn't respect freedom and doesn't care about anyone but himself and his brood living the high life at YOUR expense.
What friggin’ strategy? The man is a joke... A bad joke.
A woman in the Muslim world is chattel.
In their minds nobody is supposed to care.
Well he says he has a strategy...”hug it out” I think it’s called.
Very well written, and I agree with every word of it!
Let’s harken back to a time about 7-8 years ago. A new U.S. President labeled three countries an “axis of evil.” I wonder if the Dhimmicratz and the state run media would like to recast the laughter and derision they cast GW’s way now.
Neda had more courage in her weaponless little hand than The Coward will EVER dream of in that empty space between those oversized DEAF rat ears.
In Iran, the regime has ordered mosques not to hold services for anyone killed by the government in demonstrations over the past few days. Can you imagine that? No service, no memorial for people who are killed as they simply voiced their dissent?!?
Barak Obama is not man enough to condemn this outrage occurring in Iran. He has made me ashamed of my country. How could we have such a coward as our President?
Actually, several videos I've seen of the "violence" has actually been crowds beating dismounted motorcycle riders/passengers.
Iran's quest for nuclear weapons now worries more Americans than ever. If the regime is willing to be this cruel to its own people, could the American soldiers or Israeli citizens living within reach of Iran's missiles expect any mercy?
Um... What about MAD? In Iran's case, it would be damage to Israel, and destruction to Iran. Israel has had nuclear weapons capability for decades, and if Iran were foolish enough to attack Israel with one, the answer would be manifold. The mullahs are obviously interested in remaining in power, not being vaporized.
Two people, two pictures, two kinds of bravery: Neda and NADA!
Trying to figure out just how he can get the military to support him in office forever. He is the ONE, after all, no different than the Ayatollah who is like their Messiah.
