There is anxiety out there among some liberal Jews about Obama’s cold hand to Israel, coupled with Iran’s nuclear program, which despite all the current turmoil is full steam ahead at the moment. Some Democratic members of the House and Senate are clearly sensing there is a problem with a normally reliable constituency group. In recent days Senator Menendez of New Jersey and even Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have created some space between themselves and Obama by reiterating their traditional support for Israel. So far, there is no evidence that the Obama team (including Hillary Clinton and George Mitchell) is backing off its settlement mantra.
As cautious as Obama has been in refusing to support the Iranians on the streets, he has been quite abrupt in his willingness to cast aside decades of ties between the U.S. and Israel. Israeli Jews have caught on that the emperor is not wearing any clothes. Will American Jews wake up as well?...

I’m sorry, but how many billion dollars a year in US aid goes to Israel each and every year ? Has somebody threatened to cut this aid off ??

I hope Obama does make the threat of cutting of aid to Israel. If Obama really has a back bone he will. He has to show his handlers that he will do whatever it takes to dismantle the state of Israel.

Most American Jews are Liberals first, and Jews second.
I’ve known some Israeli Jews — wonderful people, down to earth and I can connect with them in a powerful personal way.
Most of the American Jews I’ve known however — I think of them as Liberals more than Jews. All they want to talk to me about is the right of women to abort their babies, and how wonderful Clinton was. *BLECH*

After a hundred years why can’t we just accept that Jews vote liberal and democrat, why do they have to vote a particular way driven by foreign policy related to Israel?

People get confused with the two types of Jews in America. One kind views their religion as some sort of contrarian philosophy to Christianity. It’s a cultural thing with this type, mostly NE Jews in NY, CT, NJ, MA, MD and NOVA fit into this type. They don’t practice their faith, they use it as an ethic label. The Secular Jew as has been described. They take offence quickly to any perceived slur and love to play martyr when it’s convenient . They love their Judaism up till about 5 minutes after the Schindler’s List credits have rolled, then it’s just a hassle. Secular Jews support leftist candidates for the same reason lots of them in Europe stayed quiet when Hitler rose to power. They thought their silence and acquiescence could buy them favor with people who wanted to kill them. RIGHT NOW Secular Jews think being for liberal policies will make people like them and prevent persecution. Well after 5700 years how has random periods of pacifism worked out? The other type are proud Jews like Mark Levin, David Horowitz, etc. unabashed, unafraid and willing to stand up for personal liberty and righteousness . What Israel used to be populated with and what made them a strong #2 behind the American fighting soldier. Unfortunately we have too many types who marched to the gas chamber lie sheeple than like Tuvia Bielski of Defiance fame, Jews who would not be sheep and fight for the legacy of Abraham , Joseph and David. Obama\Clinton\Reverend Right and frankly most left right now is no different than the Nazis pre 1933
