This happened in the late 1970’s; wait for a Godsend like Reagan.Fergetit...Both parties in D.C. and government at most all local levels are beyond salvaging....The disgust and dishonor brought on by these political insiders, government employees, and party groupies is enough to make the citizens, just trying to survive their corruption, vomit.
Two hundred years are way too long for political parties. Both parties go back two hundred years. The Dems go back to Thomas Jefferson -though he would not even recognize the Democratic Party of today. The Republicans also go back two hundred years through a circuitous route as they are derived from the Federalist Party which then became the Whig Party which became the Republican Party.
George Washington was right political parties are no good.
