Farrah Fawcett 'given last rites'

The claim was posted on the Hitman PR blog of Allen S Miller, who claims to represent Fawcett and her business partner Greg Lott.

"Farrah … is in intensive care and is supported by Catholic priests consistent with her faith," Miller wrote.

"I have reports that Farrah has received last rights.

"It is time now to make contact with your god and say a prayer."

The news comes only days after long-time on-off partner Ryan O'Neal told US TV they planned to marry.

"I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," an emotional O'Neal told veteran reporter Barbara Walters in excerpts of the interview on the US ABC News website.

I’m sorry for the pain she’s had to endure with this cancer. She’s had a rough few years. May God comfort her in her final hours.

She was around in the 60s, where were you?

I think every junior high school boy had this one pinned up in his room in the late 1970s.

I thought she always seemed sweet.

That sort of beauty is more burden then blessing. I read that when she was little kids would come over but not to play, just to look at her. When she went to college guys would line up waiting for her to come out of her dorm.

It would be hard to keep your head on straight with all that...and sadly it seems it didn’t really bring happiness.

Mela Murphy, Farrah’s friend and hairdresser of 18 years, and close pal and fellow actress Alana Stewart were also said to be with Fawcett.

“There was a moment last week when she was supposed to be released and was going home,” a source close to Fawcett told People.com. “But things changed.”

UPDATE: At 11:30pm PT, Farrah was moved into the Intensive Care Unit.

_________

Only two days after Farrah Fawcett was hospitalized and then released, OK! has learned that the actress is once again under medical supervision as her condition worsens.

Around 9pm PT on Wednesday, Farrah was moved from her West Hollywood home to a nearby hospital. Sources tell OK! that the Charlie’s Angels star’s long-time love, Ryan O’Neal, and her best friend, actress Alana Stewart, have joined her there.

My dear friends, we are gathered here in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who is present among us. As the gospels relate, the sick came to him for healing; moreover, he loves us so much that he died for our sake. Through the apostle James, he commanded us: “Are there any who are sick among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church, and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed any sins, their sins will be forgiven them.”

Let us therefore commend our sick sister Farrah to the grace and power of Christ, that he may save her and raise her up.

She was around in the 60s, where were you?

In the 60s and early 70s, she was a bit player on a few TV shows.

She became popular with Charlies Angels in the 1976-77 TV season. Before then, she was almost unknown.

And I was around in the 60s too.

Thank you for your service.

Now, I’m curious as to who was on the hooch poster. Maybe Raquel? Joey Heatherton?

Enquiring minds want to know! ;)

She won't make it, she is literally on her death bed.

I just hope that her passing will not be turned into some degenerate circus with bootleg pictures in the Globe of her dying etc. etc.

She is owed a quiet passing.

Oh she’s Catholic?

I didn’t know that.

As an aside, “last rites” is an old misnomer. It’s called “Anointing of the Sick” and is available even when death is not expected.

Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett have led a couple of kids into a truly awful lifestyle.

The kids have dealt with drug abuse, time in prison, and O'Neal only recently was involved in a shoot-out with his son (having busted his son's front teeth in a few years ago).

I hope they are truly drawing close to God at this time because their lives haven't been what I would call stellar. They really should have married years ago and provide stability for those kids. Oh, well. That's Hollywood.
