The multiple reports stating that Jeff Goldblum died today in a tragic fall while filming a movie in New Zealand are 100% false.
Having been online for longer than we’d like to admit, we caught this story as a fake immediately — because it’s originally from at least 2006.
While the story has remained the same throughout the years, the actors names have varied. Last time, it was Tom Cruise. This time, it’s Jeff Goldblum. In six months, it’ll be Zac Efron.

A story circulating that actor Jeff Goldblum has died falling off a cliff at Kauri Cliffs golf course in Northland is a hoax.
Australian media including Channel 9 have been reporting the story.
New Zealand police communication officer John Neilson says the same story was going around a couple of months ago. He says it is not correct.
Heard about the hoax about 15 minutes ago. And no, Will Smith isn’t dead either ~
Glad it’s a hoax. I kind of like him as an actor. Besides, two in one day is enough.

Another rumour that popped up this morning is that Harrison Ford was dead. He also happens to be doing fine.
[Ford and Goldblum] are both working on a movie together with Rachel McAdams called 'Morning Glory'. They were all spotted filming in New York 2 days ago, so the likelihood of Goldblum even being in New Zealand are slim to none.
