“This was posted several days ago.”

Sorry, to everyone and particularly Jim Rob, for this wonderful service he provides. I should have done a more thorough search before I posted.

Can you identify the prior thread, for those of us that missed it?

I was just switching through the channels a little while ago when I came upon an ABC sitcom named “Surviving Suburbia”. A little girl was saying that she was going to marry another girl. One of the parents showed some concern but ended up caving in and saying that off course there was nothing wrong with it.

This is on when young kids are watching and of course, there are children in the sitcom so it draws young children to watch. We have to watch out for these snipers, for that is what they are, cultural snipers who attack our families when we are least expecting it.
We have to cut back on tv and be very careful which programs we watch especially what our children watch. Are there any Christian groups that have lists of programs to watch and programs to avoid? Long ago, the Catholic Church’s Legion of Decency used to have a list of movies with a rating based on the values portrayed in the movies. Is there anything like that in regard to tv shows? We really are in need of something like this.

We have to know who is in charge of the government grants, no doubt some close friends of liberal democrats. We have to have a far reaching plan to counter these imps from hell who are determined to destroy our country.

They may be idiots but now they are the most cutting edge idiots so they become the queens of political correctness. Now other wannabe idiots will follow with more “studies” and recommendations for making children’s literature and entertainment more “fair” and “nondiscriminatory” Watch out for the “D” word - discrimination. They are probably going to present this as a civil rights issue as gay and transgender kids are being discriminated against by being exluded in children’s literature and shows.

If I had kids, I'd probably throw out the television. I have some friends who have a four year old and they don't have a tv. They let her watch some educational DVDs when they're riding long distances in the car, but that's it. (And she usually falls asleep halfway through those.) She is the smartest little girl I've ever met. And when I say "smart," that also means "creative" and "socialized." I think when kids stare at the tv all the time, they don't learn to look people in the eye and carry on a conversation.

Those snipers are on tv, in the movies, and in the classrooms. A few years ago when I was between jobs, I worked at an arts store that offered free crafts classes on Sundays. I had this weird experience with a ten-year-old who created an ecologically (Global Warming) themed project... and I could tell she expected me to praise her to the hilt for her "politically correct" art project. I didn't withhold praise, but I also didn't give her any more moral support than I gave any of the other kids. But it was a real eye-opener for me, because the kid totally had this expectation that was so transparent. It was pretty obvious she'd been fed a truckload of cr@p probably from the time she could talk.

The world of the intellectuals is becoming a madhouse. The universities are now the madrassas of the far left.
