Come to think of it, I met all three of them. The latter of that group really went off the rails though. I was sad to see it.
Yes, a wonderful guy and a caring dad. Also, he came up to a couple of FReeper events in DC. We stood together at Walter Reed hooting at Medea Benjamin, leader of CodePink, who had been spouting her nonsense at some UNC event in Chapel Hill just the week prior. cf_river_rat was yelling across the 6-lane avenue to where she was in his best NC accent, "Hai, Medayah! 'Member me? I yelled at you last week in Chapel Heel!" -- or words to that effect. She looked truly taken aback. It totally cracked me up. We had a great loud public laugh at her expense.
