Word flying around D.C. as of 1:30 is that Waxman-Markey is being pulled, suggesting Pelosi doesn't have the votes. It may be they need a little more time to buy off one or two more people, or possibly they simply can't get enough committed votes (I am sure more than a few Democrats say they will vote "Yes" as necessary, but have a deal for cover with a "No" vote, which is complicating the whip count). Stay tuned. As Drudge would say, developing . . .

I hope so. Maybe the Congress will not want their jobs to go compliments of Obama and Co; not the voters.

Good, but kinda moot as even Harry Reid admits it has zero chance of passing in the Senate.

Call them anyway.
Remember your feints, late night votes and other tactics.
Storm the left flank, folks. Charge the center.

I can’t see Sen KKK letting this pass in the Senate.

I suspect the only reason it’s up for a vote is to impress the environuts who support the Democrats. It wouldn’t pass the Senate in its present form.

The sheeple are unconcerned and uninformed. BUT... pass tax and trade and when people can’t buy things, when the cost of energy skyrockets... the sheeple will take that to the voting booth.

If so -—— GREAT!
But it shouldn’t lessen our efforts to work on our congressmen.

Rush’s sources on this sound like the original post. Was that it? Hope this monstrosity of a bill dies a horrible death.

Will Pelosi’s goons be able to pay the wobblers enough so that they are willing to give up their power in the next election? Thats the question.

My Congressman’s (Adam Shiff(M)) office is getting lots of calls on this matter. They wouldn’t tell me what he plans to vote.
(M)=McCain(D)
I suspect McCain would vote against this, but I am by no means convinced. He’s certain global warming is real, and we need to do something.
