She already lost against 0bama last year, and she will lose any rematch, too.

This is what cracks me up about the Palin haters.

Since the convention, it has always been a comparison between her and ZerØ. McCain lost the election, Not Sarah. Hell, McCain only got the votes he got - because of her - not in spite of her. And any honest analysis of the qualifications of the two - Palin and ZerØ - would show Sarah to have far more executive experience than the Pretender occupying the WH.

What the hell has Obama ever run? Nothing! ZerØ, Zip, Nada, None. And it shows. How many Czar's are we up to now?

Someone asked you previously, whom your GOP cocktail crowd wants us to vote for. So far I haven't read a response (maybe it's further down). Please tell us who the next anointed RINO is going to be.

Like who? But whatever Palin’s chances, you are tone-deaf if you don’t realize that Palin is the best stump-speaker in either party, except maybe some like Jesse Jackson. (yes, I know what Jackson is, but he can rouse a crowd.)

Who says Romney is the answer?
Again, it looks like people are looking at 2012 through a 2008/2009 prism.
We've got time to pick the right standard-bearer. We shouldn't concentrate right now on who we want as much as what we want.
I submit that Sarah Palin is too fatally flawed to meet all of the criteria a 2012 GOP nominee needs to.
Mitt Romney is also flawed.
So perhaps we should be looking for someone else entirely, who does not have either of their handicaps.
It's not for me to say who that is.
It is for that person to step forward and make their presence known.

It WAS funny though, that who the REAL combatants were became evident very quickly.

The press attacked Palin, and all the comparisons were made between Palin and Obama, not McCain and Obama.

Had McCain not been on the ticket, it would have been closer, but the “voting for the cool black guy” crowd would have still won.

Gee, you seem to be able to for complete sentences. What are you doing around 2012?

:)

Well said!

We’re definitely hungry out here for someone with the WILL to fight.

I think GW’s Ivy Leaguer background made him too “collegial” to actually stand up for what was right.

I seem to recall McCain inching ahead in the polling thanks to the addition of her to the ticket. Then he blew it by mishandling the economic news, rushing back to D.C. and embracing the stimulus. Polls plunged. Sarah didn’t lose that race. The darlin’ of the elitist GOP establishment did. It’s laughable anyone would attempt to imply it was Palin who lost to Obama when she wasn’t the one setting the campaign agenda and response. To the contrary, McCain’s staff worked to silence or sabotage her.

McCain did everything possible to lose the election. He almost blew his plan up, though, when he selected her as VP.

Again, like WHO? Reminding me of the story told about Lincoln. Wade came in to complain about McClellan and demand that Lincoln fire him and get someone else. Who?said Lincoln. Anyone said Wade. Well, said Lincoln, anyone will do for you but I must have someone. Right now, after Sanford’s self-destruction, Palin is the only one standing. Let’s see what she can do. More than that, let’s see what Obama does.

You know, I would have liked to have seen her and Todd head up to Michigan. She basically pleaded with the McLame camp to allow her to go up and campaign there.

One wonders what kind of effect the Palin's would have had on the Michigan results.

The Most Mediocre Woman in America

Mediocre folks don't become governor or senator unless the party apparatus or a pile of money is behind them. Think Biden or Kerry or Obama. (Obama had a mediocre record, some rhetorical skill, and buckets of money and a big organization behind him (and I'm not taking about the DNC).)

Sarah Palin made it in the face of party opposition, and she doesn't have a pile of money.

I smell jealousy.

So I guess I just have to ask...Who is your guy/gal???

Are their initials R.P.???

I’m just asking...Because it would clear up your position...

Or, and here is a safety net...

Is it someone you think will come along in the next couple of years to lead the way???

My opinion??? Oh, glad you ask...

I believe the person who is anointed to be “it” in 2012, will be a sacrificial lamb...Just like Bob Dole...

Unless something drastic happens that cannot be spun away, We will be stuck with Barack Hussien Obama till a cold blustery day in January 2017...

Sorry to be such a naysayer...But the Republican party leadership has failed to develop a bullpen of candidates that can compete...Sure they are pretty conservative, but it just didn’t deliver...

Is it really necessary to re-emphasize this aspect of a serious public servant who embodies the hopes and aspirations of many conservatives?

And where are the pictures to prove it?

But since you asked; she does look pretty darn good in a flight suit.

I’m wondering why you have a picture of Sarah Palin with a rifle on her shoulder on your profile page. Forget what you posted as your fakery at FR?

She is a complete invention of the Right.

And what Soros-like group foisted her on Alaska? The Governor of Alaska is a self-made success.

“who’s next in line” party

Yes, and Sarah is definitely NOT considered the next-in-line by the party big-wigs. She's been applauded by the grass-roots, not the RNC. You've got this argument backwards. Next in line would be the other contenders from the last presidential primary, i.e. Romney and the rest, not Sarah.

She already lost against 0bama last year

She didn't run against Obama, McCain did. There isn't a separate count for the VP race.

Palin has a more accomplishments than Obama, being a governor means she couldn't vote 'present'.

Having every single sentence perfect isn't a sine qua non for a politician. And Sarah is a hell of a better speaker than Bush. You are focusing on a few bad spots. She's a whole lot better off teleprompter than the Obamanation. He can't handle that at all. And we'll probably never know how much worse Obama is with combative interviewers.

McCain made a bad choice for VP? On what basis do you say that? Money flooded in after he picked Palin. The crowds showed up to hear her speak. That's what a VP candidate is supposed to provide, excitement and support in the base.

She is a complete invention of the Right, just as 0bama is an invention of the Left.

Wow. That's going to come as a complete surprise to many who know that she fought her way up through the ranks in Alaska from the Wasilla PTA through the mayor's office to the ultimate pinnacle of power in the state, the governor's office, single-handedly and against the good ol' boy network then centered around Frank Murkowski.

She connected with millions in a very short time though Country Club Republicans didn’t like her message.

Which makes her that much more appealing to me.

One of the most fascinating things about her, is the way the left AND those on the elitist right go after her.

It reminds me so much of the way Ronald Reagan was treated in the 70's and 80's.

I also seem to remember her being somewhat muzzled by the McCain campaign. Had she been able to speak from the heart on such issues as say the global warming scam instead of deferring to McCain, she may have pushed the old guy into the White House.

NOBODY that watched the VP debate objectively or watched/attended any of her stump speeches or even casually reviews her career in politics, can honestly call her a lightweight.

I am sick and tired of Washington insiders and ivy league idiots in Washington. Quite frankly, we need some good old fashion common sense in DC, not someone who “sounds good” or comes from a “good family”. We’ve been there done that too many times and keep ending up with liberal lites, or even worse, elitist candidates that can’t connect with the people!

I am open to other contenders and 2012 is a long way from now. But Palin is the ONLY one I see at present. For me, she is the most exciting Conservative candidate since Reagan.

What you smell is ‘agitprop’ in full bloom. Confusion is the only thing that can save the democrat party with the current anti-American output their pushing down voters’ throats. Agitprops are sent out to pretend to be conservative, pretend ot be Republican, pretend to be anything needed to give them credulity as they spread as much confusion as their prick selves can spread. [prick = little irritating nettle, nothing more; see counterpunch.]
