The Grand Old Party's 2012 presidential pool isn't looking so grand these days.
Add Nevada Sen. John Ensign's and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's extramarital affairs to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's unconvincing TV speech and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's family dramas, and the Republican presidential herd is thinning fast -- leaving many to wonder who will lead the party in its attempt to reclaim the White House.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels are the names now being whispered in Republican circles as potential winners -- although observers admit political speculations can change overnight.

I think there are many of the blue-bloods repubs that are scared cr@pless over Sarah Palin. She is the one candidate who has been consistently drawing the crowds. As for Sarah's "Family Problems" being a concern, well I don't know who this reporterette has been talking to, but it certainly is not a problem among the majority of the conservative constituency.
Jindal might have to do a little practicing on exciting the crowd, but if he is second on the ticket it probably will not matter.

Out of 300+ million people, you can’t find a handful that could capture the White House? They must not be looking very hard. Palin, Coburn, Boehner, etc, etc, etc. They best be getting their act together. Obama is already organizing Acorn for the election.

I think Palin with someone with more national political experience would be good. I like Jindal but not on a Palin/Jindal ticket.

I agree. It so annoys me that the media tries to wish Gov. Palin away. And in addition, Gov. Jindal gave a speech which some people thought was lackluster — therefore (according to the MSM) his national career is over. Please! We can’t let the media make our choices for us. That’s how we got McCain. They will try to give us Romney next — and I ain’t buying.

After the media picked McCain for us last time, I put no
credence in anything the press has to say about who we
nominate.
I know who I want.

We have all kinds of “family problems” in many Democrat families.
The only reasons the MSM brings up the Palin family problems?
1.) They think that Conservatives will be unforgiving.
2.) They think it is “hypocritical” when people who HAVE standards actually make mistakes.

If Palin is our nominee in 2012, we’ll have 4 more years (or more!) of Hussein. She is damaged goods. She looked like a deer in the headlights during the infamous Katie Couric interview. If she cant handle a nitwit like Couric, how can she handle the presidency? The media has damaged here beyond repair.

Sarah befuddles the dullards who are drunk on the Potomac mire. But, I progress too far. The Republican Party will have a leader emerge from the primaries, and if that leader isn’t an addle minded, Democrat-lite, aisle crossing, starry-eyed, media sap, he or she will win.

Actually Palin MAY be our nominee but only if she decides to run and then there may still be other great candidates.

I detest Romeny! He is 100% false! Haley Barbour, interesting? Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor, I like him a lot. Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels is much better than Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Then we have “Caribou Barbie” Palin who is too socially conservative for my taste but I do like her.

It’s way, way too soon to be speculating on this. We haven’t even had the 2010 Congeressional elections yet.

Its way, way too soon to be speculating on this. It might be to early for us to be speculating on this, but it is also to early for the media and those Washington socialite republicans to be getting together to say whom we can't have.

What family problems?
The only problem is the media’s ‘thinking’. Do they consider Trig and Bristol’s son as problems - ike BO’s thinking - why should women suffer w/children?
Now if they said - “the media’s problem with Sarah” it would be accurate. Instead they use propaganda to have the sheep believe Sarah has family problems.
