This is sort of a vanity by descent. My 16 year old son has been forced by his mother to spend the first week of his school holiday inside due to having a cold in an environment where swine flu is rampant, and he's spent some of his time putting together this site, trying to bring together a list of all of those who have been awarded their country's highest awards for bravery during the current war.
Sometimes I really do think we've done a decent job with this boy.
(at least when it comes to things that are more important than whether clothes are hung on hooks or on the floor!)
Anyway, father's pride talking but I think he's done a decent job. And I certainly think the men he seeks to honour are worth honouring.
(I have already pointed out to him that there are multiple versions of the Medal of Honor and suggested sailors and marines should be honoured by their own version being shown alongside their portraits and he is going to fix that - but I think he can be cut a bit of slack for not knowing this to start with).

Excellent job. You have done an amazing job raising your son. You have also inspired this father of a 7 year old boy as I teach him about the Revolutionary war.

That is excellent work, please make sure your son knows this. What a great tribute seeing their nation’s flag, the award and a good photo, outstanding. Very touching to say the least. Your son is on the right track, I would say that at 16, he’s knows the value of service and sacrifice already, now others need to learn from him.

These men are heroes all.
It is unfortunate that our present American military thinking only awards the Medal of Honor posthumously. We need a few living heroes like in previous wars.
