With most of the votes counted in the populous province of Buenos Aires, Mr Kirchner conceded defeat to a dissident Peronist, wealthy businessman Francisco de Narvaez.

I'd have to research this news a bit further before I called a "dissident Peronist", or any Peronist conservative. Besides, Kirchner's ol' lady remains president for two more years. This seems more like an intra-party shakeup to me, which could drive circumstances from bad to much, much worse.

A friend in Buenos Aires was happy that the “Right” as she calls it won there. Considering that the current “leadership” there is outright Socialists, a swing to more conservative government could be what Argentina needs to get it’s economy and government spending in order. Obviously the Leftists are not going to be happy, so they could see some street shenanigans - does ACORN have an office in Argentina? ;)
