We’re back and safe (and a little sore). We hiked up to the May Lundy mine ruins. Gilcrest Peak was named after my great-grandfather who was a mining engineer there back in the 1880’s. Here’s some pics...

Great Photos! I love old scrap piles and early settlements. Were those occupied cabins around the lake and is there a road in or by horse or foot only? Some of that equipment appeared to be part of a Stamp Mill? Was it packed in by Mule train?
