Obama secrecy could prevent recognition of birthplace
WND ^ | June 29, 2009 | WorldNetDaily

Is President Obama's birthplace, wherever it is, destined to lie unrepaired and unrecognized in perpetuity? If the phalanxes of lawyers currently fighting a number of lawsuits seeking to open up detailed information about the president's origins succeed that's a distinct possibility, since the ordinary National Park Service recognition of presidents' birthplaces does not even begin unless members of Congress or a president seek the distinction.

That's according to Kathy Kupper, a spokeswoman for the National Park Service, who was interviewed on the subject by Greg Corombos of RadioAmerica/WND.

"All 391 National Park Service sites are designated either by the president or by Congress. So it always is initiated by one of those entities," Kupper said.

Right now, she said, work is being done on recognition of the birthplaces for both Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.

Could get interesting, come 2011.

Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born citizen," no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth.

Could someone make the argument, under the equal protection clause, that since one of the candidates had a hearing to determine eligibility, should BOTH not have had such an eligibility screening?

I wonder who that member of Congress is going to be.

This is so amazing. For all of McCain’s nitwittery, could any sane person question that he is American while ignoring the obvious unresolved questions about BHO?

Sounds reasonable. But Obama is black. Half-black, actually, still that makes him special and not subject to regular rules, he’s a Section 8. Or a black Naval Academy Midshipman of current vintage, or he’s a black New Haven Fireman. The regular rules do not apply, blacks have to be presumed special. We can and will hold non-blacks to harsh account, but blacks — we have to mollycoddle and lavish and promote into positions they will be unskilled and failures in. At least so four Supreme Court Justices ruled today.

... back on February 28, 2008, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) introduced a bill to the Senate for consideration. That bill was known as S. 2678: Children of Military Families Natural Born Citizen Act. The bill was co-sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), and Sen. Thomas Coburn (R-OK).

Obama is so deceptive. He took the attention off from himself and put it on McCain's eligibility with the help of his #1 supporter Sen Claire McCaskill.

The direct approach (lawsuits) keeps running into a jam.

Perhaps the indirect approach - petitioning our representatives to have the pResident’s birthplace memorialized - might get somewhere...
