Today marks the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraqi urban areas, the result of a deadline contained in the Status of Forces Agreement (SoFA) that the Bush administration negotiated and the Obama administration embraced. It is a milestone on the road to Iraqi sovereignty and a useful moment, I think, to consider three widespread -- and to some extent inter-related -- arguments that were made about Iraq in recent years.

“the result of a deadline..”
The result of Bush having the guts to push the surge when everyone said it wouldn’t work and would lead to only more violence and death.
Meanwhile, right off the bat, 27 people die in Iraq from “Freedom Fighter” suicide bombs...
How about States Sovereignty from the Union over here NEXT. Sounds pretty good to me. Wonder if the One will embrace that like he just did for Iraqi sovereignty? With the way he's destroying us, it won't be long. The 10th Amendment. Expect to hear that being shouted louder and louder in the very near future.
It won’t belong now for the whole country of Iraq resumes the struggle that they are always good at; killing each other.
The only way the land is held together is the blood of our soldiers. We won’t be able to ever leave because they wont stop hating each other.
I give them about one month and they'll be begging us to come back.
True, but the MSM will never report any of that... everyone here will think everything is just fine and Obama saved the day.
Once the American troops really leave it will take about six months to one year until a Sadam Hussein comes to stop the violence.
