Arguello was anti-Sandinista.

At the link, it says he was a member of the ruling party. Maybe there are factions, and he's not tight with Commandante Sunglasses. I don't know.

According to “Wicked Pedia”, he ran under that party’s label even though the “Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN)—the same party against whom he took up arms in the 1980s”.

Okay I’m way behind the times.

joined the party to run for mayor in 2008.
