Population and economy grows, so does the government. It’s a Law of Nature. Trick is keeping the rate of government growth in proportion.

A grizzly in the wild is a lot more dangerous than a grizzly in a zoo.

Nice...should be repeated.

A grizzly in the wild is a lot more dangerous than a grizzly in a zoo.

Well, the GOP isn’t dying from what I see. It is growing, rather fast these days - and in growth, tossing a lot of dead-wood overboard as leaders.

It is????

Trick is keeping the rate of government growth in proportion.

Ah. And what is the proper ratio?

She still grew government. Why is that something to be proud of?

If it grew less than the population, or the Gross State Product, that's a Good Thing. State governments are somewhat different anyway. They have all the powers and the responsibilities of government, not specifically delegated to the federal government in the Constitution. Which means they have lot more legitimate things on their plates. Most roads are state/county for example, not federal. States, and cities, supply water, sewers and sewage treatement, and host of other things that the federal government is (supposed to be) restricted from.

My Nostrils are flaring. Let’s get with it, everyone.

Our Leader has arrived and things are getting interesting.

WAR ON THE LEFT.

Put up or shut up. It’s on like Donkey Kong.

“...are far too many that have not learned the biblical lesson about a house divided...”

I agree in theory with your statement; but, I think the division has already occurred. It is time for a different direction and if it doesn’t occur, we will lose our country this time.

We have traitors in and outside our ranks. The majority of the voters see no difference between either parties. The McCains and Romneys of the Republican Party are no different than the Pelosis and Reids of the Democrat Party. All of them have abandoned the people of the USA.

I don’t know what Palin is going to do...no one does. It is all speculation.

If she is really going to work to defeat the Marxists in our Government, she isn’t going to be working alone. I am assuming such an endeavor would be attempted with other well known and respected individuals of a like mind. Obviously, they are going to need the American people.

But, for right now, it is wait and see. I just hope the base isn’t putting too much on her. We are a desperate lot and maybe we should be looking more to ourselves and less to someone to lead us out of the wilderness.

“I’ve seen the best leaders replaced with mediocre fools all too often”

Dirt bags like Robert Bird who sat in the senate for 5 decades and has had a hand in 90% of the left wing agenda are way more examples of “scum” using the current system to stay in office then any 10 good people.

Term limits are the answer to stopping the current “Congress is for sale” system.

"We are a desperate lot and maybe we should be looking more to ourselves and less to someone to lead us out of the wilderness."

Very savvy post... and yes, we have indeed long been looking to our civic duties, rather than waiting for one person to fix what we ourselves created with apathy.

Sarah Palin may have just sang her swan-song, and intends to retire far from public view - until her young ones are grown. Nonetheless, I doubt we have heard the last from this lady.

Interesting strategy. Show how qualified a leader you are by quitting.

Sarah Palin will never run for President. Bank on it.

You might be right - and you might not be too. Time will tell, but I’m quite certain that Sarah Palin is not through with politics, and those who like her are certainly not through with liking her.

I like her very much and would have voted for her... but let’s face it... it’s the left who want a messeiah, and it’s not realistic to want a counter- messiah.

Sarah is not superhuman, no matter how much we want her to be. I hope she is NOT some driven person, unless that is the task God has for her.

Sometimes we put expectations on people that are too much. Maybe she doesn’t want this for her family.

Frankly, I would almost question her sanity if she did.
