Despite rumors of a looming controversy after Palin's surprise announcement Friday that she will leave office this month, some of them published in the blogosphere

Gotta love the L.A.Times. Nice to see them upholding their "journalistic standards" by running a story based on the trustworthy source known as the blogosphere.

I guess when you go dumpster diving, for nearly a year, and still cannot come up with any dirt on her you go to the next best thing. The blogosphere. How professional.

Yeah, it was a surprise that they got out front there with the FBI refutation of this rumor, but when I checked, they seemed to be the only ones who had actually bothered to verify the story.
Shocking, I know.
