In the end, the state of the Union comes down to the character of the people. I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there.
In the fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there. In her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there.
Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits, aflame with righteousness, did I understand the secret of her genius and power.
America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.

I doubt it the msm/dbm will go after Sarah's replacement.Its Sarah they want. she is their worst nightmare a good looking conservative woman who says what she believes and believes what she says.
I do not have any sway with Grassley. I agree with him, perhaps, 50% of the time. He is way to liberal for me and he is happily not in Colorado.
You misrepresent what I said which is that churches to have a tax exempt status should not be in the business of politics.
If they want to be political, and many are, they need to lose that status. Otherwise the dem party will become a church tomorrow.
But I did not malign the decency and the goodness of churches.
I already said that.
1) She puts the frivolous lawsuits out of business
2) She is in huge demand as a speaker and will make big bucks...
3) ...which will pay for her 16 frivolous law suits and put her family in good financial health.
4) While blasting Obama about energy --among other things---she will be helping her state. and simultaneously begin collecting chits for a future run for Senate or hopefully the WH.
5)She has left Alaska in good hands, and perhaps given her sucessor a head start on holding the state house.
6) The only possible criticsim --the quitter charge--will be immediately forgotten at her first important fundraiser when she brings down the house.
7) This--her public speaking, fundraising, etc.-- also puts her on the national stage, dealing with national issues which she needs to do without critics nagging her about ignoring Alaska.
I foresee her being paid to blast Obama. What's better than getting paid to do what you love to do ? Nothing !

I was further inspired by watching a three minute video that Rush did,I'll look it up in a minute,basically saying that it is a huge mistake to second guess her and that Rush's bottom line is that the DBM remains deathly afraid of her. Ann Coulter chimed in as well,so we here and supporters elsewhere are in some fine company.
