The Apostle Paul, one of Israel’s best-known evangelical pastors, pleaded with about 8,000 Baal Worshipper listeners on Saturday night to work together to solve the world’s greatest problems by cooperating in a series of interfaith projects.

“Baal Worshippers and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions,” the apostle said during an evening session of the annual convention of the Pagan Society of North Israel (ISNA) at the Washington Convention Center....
The pastor, who usually dresses in informal Hawaiian shirts, arrived in a beige suit and yellow tie. He began his speech with the common Arabic greeting “Asalam alakum,” or “Peace Be Upon You.” the apostle said he was “deeply humbled and honored by this invitation,” then cracked a few jokes about his unworthiness in being there.

Although he is an evangelical pastor, the apostle was sparse in his mentions of Jesus and God...

Hmmmm. Somehow doesn’t sound quite right.

The problems between Muslims and Christians, between Muslims and everybody else actually, is not a matter of faith nor understanding. I think most people do not bear Muslims any animus for what they believe. Most people simply don't care what they believe. Muslims create problems with their actions, violent actions, and their demand to be excluded for the precepts of Western civilization even as they live here. Faith communities, councils and committees cannot 'solve' that. Religion cannot excuse murder, assault, abuse of women and children, and support of terrorism. If the Muslims wish to live among us in peace they need to reform their creed. The Rick Warrens of the world cannot do that.

I remember how Elijah took out a sword and chopped them up. Or so I've read. (I'm not that old.)

Rick Warren is like the Jimmy Carter of the evangelical world.
