I agree. Palin demonstrated a frightful degree of irresponsibility by abandoning her post just because it got a little hot in the kitchen. How will she answer those who charge that she may abandon her post again if she ever occupied 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., where the kitchen is notoriously hotter?

Palin is finished.

Sarah Palin should write a book, do the book tour, make some money and then run in 2016.

I just posted this on another thread but thought it fit here as well :))

Things have completely changed and I can feel the energy and excitement surrounding Palin’s announcement. She has totally thrown off the talking heads and it is wigging them out. I, for one, trust her implicitly and am REALLY looking forward to this thing unfolding.

She’s about to hand the libtards a big fat surprise in the next 16 months or so, when she gets behind solid conservatives, draws huge crowds and gets them elected. Then embarks on her own campaign for POTUS in ‘12.

The people on ‘our side’ that are talking negatively about her either really want someone else to be the front runner (Romney) or they are SUCH pathetic creatures of habit that if someone so much as steps off the trail they throw a fit because it doesn’t fit the mold THEY envision. But it sure doesn’t make what she’s doing wrong :)

” No one knows what this means, and speaking like she is dead in the water politically is at best premature, and for some, wishful thinking...

No one knows what this means, and it may indeed be the dumbest political move in history.

Or the most brilliant... “

Totally agree.
No one knows at this point.
A year is an eternity in politics.

What she did seemed odd to me; but sometimes the best and most creative people just don’t follow the rules.

Re-reading your post I see you may be saying she just pulled off a “brilliant” move. If so I retract my agreement.

Palin is finished. Her erratic, rambling resignation speech will be the last we’ll ever hear of her, except in the “true believer” quarters where she walks on water.

The American people are not enamored of quitters. And when a quitter tries to sweet talk the American people with nonsense and fluff and deny that she actually is a quitter, it’s an insult to their intelligence.

Giving the Lt. Gov more legs to ‘prove’ himself for a run when her term expired is a “bankable strategy”. It would not have served the people of Alaska for her to remain in the office (even if for only the remainder of one term) and eventually step down later for a 2012 run. If she’d been elected for a second term as Governor, the LIEberal media would still be using their poor attempt to discredit her by “abandoning her office”. Nor do I think the RINO “quitter” label will stick.

Of course they will use the ‘experience’ angle once again since it only matters if a Republican is running. Experience certainly wasn’t a factor with sHillary or DUh-bama.

Sarah Palin is “stepping down” from Alaskan Governor to move on to a higher calling, thus driving the LIEberal (and RINO) media to be twisted in knots still trying to figure out a playbook to deal with it.

Yes, that is it, she is running away. Hiding from her attackers, packing it in and heading to the house.

Hence the already booked speaking engagements.

Brilliant that, hiding in plain sight...

I agree 1,000%! How dare our lovely Sarah not fulfill her term as governor just to run for president?

Like you, I reject a politician who cuts short his first term. Why it reminds me of a organizational thug elected as a senator and announces 100 days later he is running for president. He rarely was in DC for votes and later chose to not fulfill his first term.

Hmmmm, who was that masked man?

Go Sarah...and take down that commie bastard!

You might be right. I remember her interview with Rush. She was delighted to talk with him. Besides, he has the ratings clout.

The rules are starting to matter less and less in politics.

To support my thesis I give you the following:

A partial term senator and community organizer with the middle name “Hussein”.

Any one who thinks we are stuck in the politics of old is nuts...
