MOSCOW (AP) — President Barack Obama says he expects to complete a review of the U.S. plan for building missile defense systems in Europe by the end of the summer.
At a joint news conference with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (dih-MEE'-tree med-VYEH'-dyev), Obama said that once the review is finished he will provide the Russian government with his assessment of how to resolve differences over the project.
Obama said he expects that to lead to extensive negotiations.
Russia strongly opposes the U.S. project, which was initiated by the administration of President George W. Bush.
Earlier, the two leaders issued a joint statement that indicated no breakthrough on missile defense, which is one of the most divisive issues they face.

Hey now, be fair here. We don’t know for sure The MESS-iah flunked science - or any/every other subject - ‘cause he won’t allow anyone to see any school records from any school he allegedly attended.
My money is with you on this - he flunked and he’s surrounded himself with more flunkies (pun intended)!

Prolly won’t read any agreement, just like passed bills are never read.
But.....I believe that I heard last week that Obama made the following statement “The missle defence being set up in Europe is not meant to stop missles coming from Russia. It is a defence system to protect Europe from Iran and Korea.” Now.....if you lived in Europe, wouldn’t this make you feel real good. It sure as hell should make Russia feel good. Question.....if Russia fired missles at Europe, would Obama knock them down with our missle defence?
Let me ask a question...does the missile defense in Europe protect the US proper in any way? Or is it just designed for the protection of Europe?
