Shouldn’t it be “affect change” rather than “effect change”?

No. The "exception" in which effect is a verb rather than a noun is when it is used in the transitive form meaning "to cause or bring about". So you could talk about how a particular policy might affect the economy, or whether or not human activities and carbon emissions affect the global climate, but if you are talking about causing or brining about a specific condition you would talk about trying to "effect a change".

In simpler terms, "affect" means "to have an impact or influence on" while "effect" (as a verb) means "to cause or bring about".

God bless her. I can’t help but smile a bit when I hear her weaving way of presenting a thought, but she’s spot on with her positions and philosophies. I really like that she’s going to jump in and support conservative candidates in 2010, 2012 and beyond. Even if she doesn’t make it to the White House herself (though I think she’d be an outstanding leader), she’ll be a powerful ally for those whom she supports. She’s one powerful force to be reckoned with.

“Palin’s the only Republican who has the guts to call Zero’s policies for what it really is.”

I’d give that prop to Michelle Bachmann, too (re: 0bama’s “gangster government”).

When you read the whole interview, although there are a few Sarah-isms in it, you can tell she's getting more and more comfortable in her national political skin. She's also, I think quite savvy in turning the libtards canard against them - they were really hoping to potshot her while she sat lame ducked (no pun intended) in Alaska...SORRY libtards...hahaha...

Dunno, if she can pull it off, but I sure do like her spunk, energy and love for family, God and country...

I like Cal - he’s a good conservative (or pretty good, I suppose someone could prove me wrong)...but golly, he sounds like a good ‘ol boy here...maybe he’s right...but Sarah has the right political stuff...why should she listen to a stuffy columnist...some of his suggestions make sense...I really like the idea of her kind of doing a 2 year political, historical, legal brain dump - that’s a good idea no matter who we’re talking about...just make sure the education comes from the right sources..

” in the state’s best interest.”
++++++++++++++

When is the last time you heard any politician do this? She certainly is a different (way, way better) mold than most of the rabble we’re constantly saying ‘throw the bums out!’ about...we could stand about 537 Sarah Palin types of different stripes, genders and sizes - but all with good American conservative values!

“She has stunned these liberals. She’s a curiosity. They can’t think straight.”
+++++++++++++

Hilarious - to the degree that that’s true, I want to support her on that basis alone...lol...but there’s so many other reasons as well...in any case...she may decide not to run...we’ll just have to see...and we need many, many, many other leaders for this fight ahead...best not to get too obsessed with one, really cool, successful conservative woman..:)

She has stated her willingness to be flexible in how she conducts her future interactions with the politics of the lower 48. That’s cool with me, too. She’ll let circumstance (which is God’s way of acting anonymously) dictate whether she runs or she helps somebody else when it gets down to presidential crunch time. Breaking the Iowa - New Hampshire barrier in the dysfunctional GOP primary system will be the earliest and highest hurdle. In the years before then, she will assist with other GOP campaigns.

Sarah had to resign at some early point:

Can this be done? How do we move on this - in the precinct meetings?

She has a servants heart.

Hmm, in what capacity could she work for me I wonder?

Get her elected, and she will work for you. Simple concept, and one she has demonstrated we can trust her in.

I think one real telling point in the increase of attacks from both sides of the party lines is that it IS from both sides.

She is not being attacked for her Republicanism, or even her Conservative views, she is being attacked for her MORALITY. It is not party lines attacking her, it is EVIL people who are afraid of the light that shines from her life. Evil FEARS righteousness.

We should take careful notes of who is rabidly against her. I suspect ethics issues are the least of the problems there. Treason may even be involved.

Time's interview and presentation is suprisingly free of bias.

Indeed, a letter to the editor thanking him might get us some more of the same quality.

If you're saying bad behavior is found in more than one party, then I think that is correct.

I always try to take careful note who is my friend and who is my enemy. Sometimes I get fooled (for a while).
