When greeting the Pope, the woman is supposed to wear all black, and of course, with arms covered and a modest hemline.

I doubt that she will follow the rules, however. I’ll look for a picture of Laura Bush greeting the Pope. She was dressed perfectly.

Wow, hardly any bad pics of Michelle. She doesn’t look angry, look like a truck, or have the stupid plastic belt tucked up under her bra.

I think the white mantilla is an exception for one of the Royal houses of Europe - the Spanish, I believe. I wouldn't put it past her to try that (just to be defiant), but she'll probably wear some sort of TRIBAL headcovering (if she wears one at all), since the TRIBAL motif seems to be a favorite of hers and that would be even more defiant. I wonder if the guards will refuse her entrance if she isn't dressed properly? I'm sure Zero would love it if that happened so that he could make a huge issue of it. I wouldn't put it past them to turn it into some sort of “incident.” After all, they sought out the audience with the Holy Father - it wasn't the other way around - so they have to know the rules.

She seems to think she doesn't have to follow any protocol or etiquette guidelines, so I'm sure they think the rules don't apply to them at the Vatican, either. I mean, if she can't even manage to wear hose, then why would we expect her to wear a headcovering for the Holy Father? They're muslim, anyway.
