You're right. I assume he's a vegan?
However, I do get the impression that he is all for morality.

And the fact that he's opposed to people using "democracy" to shove their beliefs down the throats of others.
Based on what he's said, I would consider him "one of us"...

I agree with a lot of what Gillette is for. I just find some of his explanations for his beliefs puzzling if not illogical.
