Below is a letter Obama sent to Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, Hawaii at a Centennial Dinner on 01/24/2009 which was read by Rep. Neil Abercrombie. Obama clearly references this hospital as his hospital of birth.

I’ve always wondered about Snopes.com, people have for far too long accepted them as the end all be all to internet rumor arguments.
But I'm increasingly convinced that there really is something rotten here, as evidenced by an utter lack of documentation that would normally apply to anyone in public or private life. It's more than simple coincidence, as with Sherlock Holmes' "dog that didn't bark", and eventually the truth (whatever that may be) will out.
They are reasonable for things non contentious (as in political).

Agreed - what he’s doing is entirely intentional, not the result of some cockeyed grad-school socialist experimentation. He hates capitalism and pretty much everything else most Americans love about their country. All of which adds to my suspicion about his past.

I changed my mind after taking a closer look. The most damning evidence is how Maobama himself is reacting to it.

Although clearly a leftist agenda oriented site, it has been pretty accurate on a lot of the more mundane non-political stuff. It is too bad its desire to further the goals of the left taints a lot of its credibility. And deservedly so.

When Obama signs his eligibility routine form in each state as he applies to run in the presidential primaries in 2011-2012, we need someone to be in the same building with him so that we have someone who can immediately challenge Obama' eligibility to run for President of the United States.
1. That is, we need to challenge presidential candidate Obama immediately after he signs the eligibility form by demanding that he present his long form Hawaii birth certificate in order to prove that he is eligible to run for President of the United States in 2012.
2. Remember, in most states, we voters have only 1 to 5 days to challenge candidates for federal office such as for Senator, Representative, President, and Vice-President.
3. So we have to on extra alert and make sure that we challenge candidate Obama almost immediately after he signs the eligibility form in each state.
4. If we wait until after 5 days have passed, it will be too late in many states to challenge Obama as to his eligibility to run for President of the United States in 2012.

Actually not even then. I am personally aquainted with the real facts of a particular story. Snopes has a soothing corporately sanitized version, not the truth. They may get the true or false status correct, but the backstory they provide is carefully scrubbed.

My theory is that he was born in the US, but that there is no father listed on the BC. His name is Barry Dunham, or something like that. Makes a lie all that “dreams of my father” crap. Serious enough for him to want to hide it. Not serious enough that when it does come out, it forces him from office.
