North Dakota’s only American Civil Liberties Union office in Fargo closed in February, a closure blamed generally on the poor national economy, but also to losses major contributors suffered in the Bernard Madoff scandal....
“The ACLU got hit pretty hard in this economic downturn as far as fewer donors,” Ring said. “There were a couple of really big donors that were really affected by the Madoff scandal.”

I know the ACLU gets federal funding - but what is the percent of their budget? Also another reason I am still angry at Republicans when they were in power, the did nothing to stop this funding.

I probably make several dozen or more 4" by 4", ahem, cards a day. But I usually flush them down the toilet. Hmmmm, maybe we should mail them to Madoff, and step up production to 535 other deserving folks.

As I’ve posted over and over here for years, the Madoff client has been the driving element behind the anti-American left in this country for decades.
Wait! There was talk of taxpayers reimbursing Madoff victims. Tell me why must my money be used to bail out millionares who have disposable income to give to the ACLU? Maybe they should have banked these donations in a seperate account then when Madoff crashed they'd have a small nestegg left.
