Things Looking Bad For Democrats? Use Bush Lied People Died Story Line
Flopping Aces ^ | 07-09-09 | Curt

As Obama's poll numbers continue to slide

As the country gets that palpable sense that we are heading in the wrong direction.

The Democrats decide to pull out their oft used tactic.....blame Bush for everything:

Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee decided to reveal CIA Director Leon Panetta's admission that the agency misled Congress after waiting weeks with no response from Panetta, sources familiar with the matter tell POLITICO.

The Democrats, in a letter released Wednesday night, said "top CIA officials have concealed significant actions… and misled" members of Congress since 2001.

Notice the time period? Yeah...

In a June 26 letter to Mr. Panetta discussing his testimony, Democrats said that the agency had "misled members" of Congress for eight years about the classified matters, which the letter did not disclose. "This is similar to other deceptions of which we are aware from other recent periods," said the letter, made public late Wednesday by Representative Rush D. Holt, Democrat of New Jersey, one of the signers.

In an interview, Mr. Holt declined to reveal the nature of the C.I.A.'s alleged deceptions,. But he said, "We wouldn't be doing this over a trivial matter."

Just can't make this stuff up. Panetta said there was no such deceiving in past discussions with Congress but now that the numbers are tanking and Obama is getting resistence, all of sudden, Bush lied people died reappears.....oh, you bet its coming. This is the ground work.

Where have you gone, Leon Panetta
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you (Woo, woo, woo)
What’s that you say, Ms. Pelosi
Lyin’ Leon has left and gone away
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Bush Lied, People Died-—that one got old quite quickly in my book. The Left was so pissed off after the 2000 election at Gore losing, but I guess even they realized they couldn’t keep up with such vocal whining (but they always kept it on the back burner) without sounding like a bunch of infants-—so when the war started, they jumped on a new slogan.

I don’t care about the CIA, Panetta or the Democrat’s attempt at a redirection of whats going on in the economy. The average out of work American wants a job and doesn’t give a sh*t about those that are protecting us(the CIA and company). Let the CIA do what they do best and screw the Democrats!

wag the dog - To purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance, to something else of lesser significance. By doing so, the lesser-significant event is catapulted into the limelight, drowning proper attention to what was originally the more important issue.

Someone should make an Obama doll that says “It’s Bush’s Fault” each time you putt it’s string.

“The country” ???
Meaning the marxist voters?

Just shows to go ya, that if they were so evil/dumb@$$ to fall within that mental state to begin with then they would surely malcontent their way back to gimmee, gimmee, gimmee something else, something more, more, more, etc.

What evil/stupidity goes around, is coming back around, look out they’re almost ready to do something even more evil/stupid...

Yeah, pretty interesting...except that the intelligence estimates that convinced Congress that Saddam had WMD dated from 1998, not 2001. This sort of "framing" is so blatant that not even the mind-numbed Congressional Republicans are going to give it a pass. You want "transparency," open up all the records. Cherry-picking isn't going to cut it, as 0bama found out even during the salad days when they were letting him get away with nearly everything.

The Republicans were going to attach a rider to the CIA reauthorization bill today calling for Nancy Pelosi to produce proof of her CIA statement.

This is a stunt to deflect attention and allow the Democrats to bash both the Bush administration and the CIA.

You'll be able to tell who the actual Democrat shills are by what information they leave out of their stories. Naturally, MSNBC has been stunned by the on-going and, possibly, criminal deceptions of Panetta and the CIA.

Of course the alleged CIA lying goes back beyond 2001. How can anyone with a positive I.Q. believe if the CIA was lying, particularly about WMD it began in 2001 and not before? If you want to investigate better go back as far as Bubba and all the items related to terrorism and WMD,first reported in ‘97 or’98, ootherwise, it’s just another blantantly democrat’s attempt to protect San Fran Nan and harm our intelligence community( see Church committee, Clinton funding and staffing reductions).

Of course. It started at noon, Jan 20, 2001. Ended precisely at noon, Jan 20, 2009.

Would it be grand if the CIA was so pissed at Obama and company that they produce Obama’s birth certificate!!!

It will be interesting to see how the Dems try to square the “CIA lied” theme with the “Bush lied” theme. At some point they will have to claim that Bush TOLD the CIA to lie, and I have little doubt that THAT is a lie. But I actually agree that the CIA has indeed lied, either as CYA for bad intelligence, or because they opposed Bush and his policies. Remember the whole Plame affair and the various anti-Bush leaks that came out of the CIA and other agencies when the Iraq war went sour? But so far it looks like the Dems are going to try to claim that CIA disinformation to Congress and the public began and ended with the Bush administration, and that somehow Bush was behind it. I would actually enjoy a full and honest inquiry, but since the Dems are in charge that ain’t gonna happen.

That Dog will not hunt. You can blame Bush for a lot but, like Snowball in Animal Farm, the truth will get out in time. The voters will turn on the Democrats as they did the Republicans and cast them out of power. Obama can’t use his charm a second time—he is as bankrupt as the nation and his left wing ideas.

Exactly. And the Democrats have no problem exposing CIA agents to the media or our enemies when it's to their advantage.

It's too bad the Lefties, like Plame, in the intelligence agencies can't be tagged and the agencies returned to the days when they actually worked secretly. Thanks Church Commission.
