1968 recorded the most deaths by year in Vietnam - 16,592.
There may have been a few weeks where 500 a week died, but overall in any given year, not hardly.

"There may have been a few weeks where 500 a week died"

Yes, there were weeks where 500 died. 16,592 deaths in 1968 averages to 319 a week. I didn't mean to convey in my post that an average of 500 died weekly during the entire conflict.

“1968 recorded the most deaths by year in Vietnam - 16,592.”

Worth repeating.
