The tiny mouse that became a hotly disputed symbol of wasteful spending in the $787 billion economic stimulus bill has returned to pester House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Obama administration revealed last week that as much as $16.1 million from the stimulus program is going to save the San Francisco Bay Area habitat of, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse. That has revived Republican criticism that the pet project was an "invisible earmark" in the massive spending bill for Mrs. Pelosi, whose San Francisco district abuts the Bay, and epitomizes what Republicans say is the failure of stimulus spending so far to help an economy still shedding jobs. "Lo and behold, the government has announced that the mouse is getting its money after all," House Minority Leader John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, said, standing beside a poster of the furry varmint. "Speaker Pelosi must be so proud." Mrs. Pelosi's office was quick to dismiss the criticism. Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill called the attack on the mouse "a tired and tried tale of Republican desperation," noting that the mouse was never mentioned in the legislation and the project competed with other restoration jobs for stimulus dollars.

Well, whatever. This is a clear-cut case of “San Francisco Values” ~ that’s where you drop your panties and while they’re distracted you steal stuff.
The RATS giving taxpayers money to mice. It makes perfect sense.
What killed it for House and Senate Republicans was when Bush asked them to restrict spending and pork barrel projects and they told him to go jump off a cliff and passed increasing bigger budgets.
Bush didn’t help by not choosing to fight Congress, but then again Congress had him over a barrel in regards to funding for national defense projects and the military. If he didn’t accept their increases over his proposed budget, they would’ve withheld funds for national defense (or played around with reassigning).
Congress is corrupt. With Obama in the White House, the Presidency is once again party to the corruption as it was during Clinton’s years. That’s why Obama doesn’t have to fight with Congress as much as Bush did.
Really, these folks had better be careful what they support, as God could use that tiny little mouse to bring judgment upon them (remember Hantavirus?)
So Nancy Pelosi is trying to get a government subsidy for the disease that killed off 95% of the indigenous inhabitants of the Americas in the 16th century.
What a nasty old moonbat she's turned out to be.
