I suppose it's a sign of self abuse that I would comment upon an article as stupid as this but what good was the oil and gas in the middle east until there was the internal combustion engine? The oil simply had NO VALUE without the scientific and technical breakthroughs made almost exclusively in Europe and in the United States (& Canada too )?
